Irwin Naturals Forskolin Fat-Loss Diet SUMMARY:

This supplement doesn’t seem too amazing. The only ingredient that has somewhat proven benefits is way underdosed.

Irwin Naturals Weight Loss Diet contains only 25mg of forskolin per serving, while the recommended dose is around 500mg. That’s 20 times less than recommended.

The rest of the formula is also underwhelming. A combination of different oils may be a good source of healthy fatty acids. However, it does nothing for weight loss.

About Irwin Naturals Forskolin Fat-Loss Diet

Forskolin Fat-Loss Diet Lipo Stimulator is a dietary weight loss product made by Irwin Naturals.

It comes in the form of soft gel capsules and claims to promote healthy weight loss. In conjunction with a proper diet and exercise, it can help you speed up the whole weight loss progress and optimize body composition.

Irwin Naturals Fat Loss Diet’s formula consists of four main ingredients. These are:

  • Forskholii Extract 250mg (10% forskolin)
  • Flaxseed Oil 800mg
  • Coconut Oil 400mg
  • Bioperine Complex 3mg

Let’s take a look at each of them.

Irwin Naturals Forskolin Fat-Loss Diet Ingredient Analysis

Forskolin

Coleus forskohlii is an ancient herb that has a long history of use in traditional medicine. Its main bioactive compound is forskolin.

Forskolin has numerous health benefits. Some of them include a boost in testosterone, protection from inflammation, and helping to increase fat loss. However, all these seem to be more significant in men.

On a cellular level, forskolin elevates the levels of a molecule called cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate). A higher cAMP concentration in the body increases the rates of fat breakdown and improves the effectiveness of other fat-burning compounds.

But, how good is forskolin?

In studies done so far, forskolin shows promising fat loss results.

However, most of the studies were done in vitro. In other words, they were done in test tubes or Petri dishes.

This means we know very little about how exactly Forskolin acts inside the body. So, even though it shows promising in vitro results, we don’t know if it is equally effective in the body (in vivo).

For now, forskolin seems like a good ingredient. But more in vivo research is needed to fully confirm its benefits.

The standard forskolin dose is 500mg (twice a day of 250mg). From that angle, the dose in Irwin Naturals Forskolin Fat-Loss Diet Lipo Stimulator seems way too small. It contains 250mg of Forskohlii extract, only 10% of which is forskolin.

This means that you will get only 25mg of forskolin per serving. Which is far below the recommended dose.

Flaxseed Oil

Flaxseed Oil is a good source of essential omega-3 fatty acids, especially alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).

Because of a similar mechanism, Alpha-linolenic acid goes well with L-Carnitine. However, for some reason, L-Carnitine didn’t find its place in the formula.

Alpha-linolenic acid is a great ingredient that helps against various types of inflammation.

We know the total flaxseed oil amount (800mg), but the exact amount of Alpha-linolenic acid in Irwin Naturals Forskolin is not stated. This makes it hard to determine how good the dose is.

Normally, the recommended dosages of Alpha-Linoleic acid range from 1,000-1,2000mg. But, since flaxseed oil is not standardized, we cannot know if Irwin Naturals Forskolin has even close to that ALA dose. Likely not, since flaxseed oil weighs only 800mg in this supplement.

Coconut Oil

For a long time, coconut oil has been used in cosmetics and skincare.

But recently, more and more people started using it in culinary as a cooking oil.

What a lot of people don’t know is that coconut oil may have fat-burning properties. It is rich in medium-chain triglycerides, which may increase the calories burned in the body. As such, coconut oil may promote weight loss.

However, the keyword is may. There is a lack of solid scientific evidence that confirms the use of coconut oil for weight loss.

Bioperine

Bioperine is a patented name for piperine (black pepper extract). Piperine increases absorption rates in the body and thus can improve the effectiveness of the supplement.

Our Commentary on Irwin Naturals Forskolin Fat-Loss Diet’s Formula

According to studies done so far, forskolin seems like a promising weight loss ingredient. However, it needs a lot more in vivo research to confirm its effectiveness. Until then, we can’t say for sure how good it is.

Unfortunately, the rest of the formula doesn’t seem too great. Coconut and flaxseed oil are good sources of fatty acids. But in terms of weight loss, they don’t seem effective.

Side Effects

Irwin Naturals Forskolin Fat-Loss Diet Lipo Stimulator seems safe and shouldn’t cause any adverse side effects.

However, some users report minor side effects such as feeling nauseous or drowsy. But generally speaking, Irwin Naturals Forskolin should be safe.

As always, before taking any dietary supplement on your own, we advise you to talk to your doctor first. Especially if you have a history of medical conditions or if you are taking other medications.

Testimonials & Reviews

Customer reviews of Irwin Naturals Forskolin Weight Loss Diet seem mostly positive.

On Amazon, people gave it 4.2 out of 5 stars. However, only around 200 “people” rated it. So for now, there are not enough user reviews to a make legitimate conclusion out of them.

Takeaway

Forskolin seems like a promising weight loss ingredient. However, we yet have to see how well it performs in the human body.

In any case, Irwin Naturals Forskolin Fat-Loss Diet has a too-small forskolin serving. As such, it isn’t the best forskolin supplement, nor among the best weight loss product in general.

Additionally, its formula is quite one-dimensional.

Unlike the best products on the market, its formula depends on a single ingredient (forskolin). Although it contains other ingredients, flaxseed and coconut oil don’t seem effective for weight loss.

We wish manufacturers included better fat-burning ingredients and forskolin in greater dosage. For example, glucomannan fiber and cayenne pepper extract.
